RM 118.00
With character, fresh, fun and easy to drink. This is Finca Resalso, which is the expression of the youngest vineyards of Bodegas Emilio Moro and one of the best-selling reds of its range both nationally and world-wide. A versatile wine that is liked for its liveliness, depth, consistency and because although this vintage gains importance, it manages to convey all the jovial character of the grape from which it comes: the Tinta Fina, native to the Ribera del Duero.
Made from the youngest vineyards of the estate, between 5 and 12 years old, its name refers to a historic vineyard that was planted in 1932, the year in which the founder of the winery, Emilio Moro was born. Finca Resalso 2015 is a red that, while retaining the seriousness that has become the hallmark of all the wines of Bodegas Emilio Moro – is deep and consistent -, has a more informal touch thanks to the freshness given by its varietal base of ripe black fruits like blackberries, currants or blueberries.
All of these qualities are achieved thanks to an extraordinary vintage marked by an early harvest. This year was marked by higher than normal temperatures from April to the second half of July, which caused a good vegetative growth of the vine. Also, occasional rain during the month of July helped to overcome the high summer temperatures. After the summer, the night temperatures in the Ribera del Duero fell significantly, while the diurnal temperatures were 25º, favoring the complete aromatic ripening of the grape.
For these reasons, this new vintage stands out in the nose for its varietal base of ripe black fruits. The aromatic sensation of Finca Resalso 2015 gains in seriousness, showing all its potential and intensity of varietal aromas, presenting maturity but maintaining the freshness and the vividness of a short stay in barrel (four months in American and French oak). The lively red chilli color -showing its youth- the freshness of its acidity is perceived in the mouth, making it a very pleasant red to drink, especially with the spring climate and always remembering to serve it at its correct temperature.
